Q: What is the course like?

A: There is a variety of terrain over the 3.1 mile course including wooded trail, meadow, gravel and a very small pavement section. The course winds its way through 4-H Camp Ohio’s many hills and beautiful scenery.

Q: I’m not in very good shape, can I still participate?

A: To participate you need to be in reasonably good health. Remember, this is a run/walk so if you don’t feel you would be able to run the course, just walk it!

Q: What do I get for participating?

A: If you register before the pre-registration date you will get a quick dry t-shirt and the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping raise money for a great cause.

Q: Are there any prizes?

A: The first 3 places in each age division for men and women and the first 3 overall places will receive medals. The divisions are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over for each men and women.

Q: What does the money go towards?

A: Each year the race committee decides on a project or improvement that needs done at 4-H Camp Ohio.

Q: If I don’t want to race can I just make a donation instead?

A: Of course! If you can’t make it to the race or just don’t feel you can participate, tax deductible donations can be mailed to Camp Ohio Adventure, P.O. Box 282, Mt. Gilead, OH 43338 and write “donation” in the memo line.

Q: Can I just come for lunch?

A: Yes you can. Just fill out the registration form marking the number of people in your party attending lunch only.

Q: Where should I park?

A: Parking is available near the recreation hall and the bottom of the hill in front of the girl’s cabins. Overflow parking will be at the farm with shuttles to transport people to main camp. Carpooling would be a great idea if you can as space is limited.

Q: Is my registration fee tax deductible?

A: No. The registration fee is not tax deductible however donations to 4-H Camp Ohio ARE considered tax deductible.
